Why the name Dandylines?
It is a multiple pun. I was born in August – the month of Leo the lion, thus I am a dandy lion! The dandelion is an herb and I love herbs and garden lore. I love cats and the dandelion is certainly a “cat” of the garden. A gardener must dig very deep and pull the roots all the way out or it will come back, thus it my symbol of personal strength, tenacity and perseverance.
The handle became dandylines because I am also a writer of poetic prose and create lines of knitting, crochet, and needlepoint.
